Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff was born on March 20th 1873 - well, according to the Julian Calendar - it's not actually until April 1st on the Gregorian Calendar, but I figured today would be a good day to celebrate his birthday nonetheless.I only announce this for a selfish reason. Tomorrow night, Good Friday, I'll be performing with Pro Coro Canada with Rachmaninoff's All Night Vigil.
The concert is at the Winspear Centre for Music in Edmonton. Concert time is at 7:30 PM.
If you live in the Edmonton area, I highly recommend taking in this concert.
